For all you spring turkey hunters, I would love to know why we here in new york cant shoot coyotes in spring turkey season? When most other states you can hunt them year round.

i can't tell you the amount of times i have called coyotes in during turkey season. Actually, we have very good footage of one we called in last junior hunting season.

Here is someone you could ask...
Regional Director

Or you can just ponder on it like the rest of us. I've seen the most yotes during turkey season. Even walked right up on a lost pup once.

Their a pain in the rear. Turkeys would be doing alot better with out the coyotes. It would be nice to be able to shoot them when they come into our calling. A buddy of mine was almost attacked by one once, but his turkey load stopped it from fully reaching him
