I moved to cheektowaga 2 years ago from around oneonta/binghamton area. I was always carp fishing back home but just dont really know where to go around here. Anyone have any public places near cheektowaga or not reallll far away to go?

30-40 min ride down the thruway you can get to the 18 mile creek or the Cat. Either one will be killer for either cats or carp.

pretty sure cayuga near you has a good population of carp in it. theres a whole bunch in ellicot creek as well. channels are starting to hit really well. my buddy got one the other night casting jigs for eyes, it was well over 15 pounds and delicious

Nice sounds like the cats are getting active, I have hit a run in the creek on my property a few time but haven't been able to figure them out the past couple years sounds like I better get some bait in the water
